You do not have to cope on your own. Entering therapy can be the first step to changing your life. I am warm, empathic and non-judgemental, I can help you gently explore and develop a greater understanding of what is going on in your life.
Why Enter Therapy
Sometimes as we go through life, we find ourselves unable to cope with our feelings and thoughts. At times we can struggle with feelings of sadness, grief, loss, loneliness or isolation. We may have relationship problems with our families, partners and loved ones. These feelings can intrude into our everyday life and can make us feel anxious, overwhelmed and lost. This can lead to low self-esteem and self-confidence. These feelings and thoughts can stop us enjoying life in the way we are truly meant to, and we start to feel that we are no longer able to manage on our own and are no longer in control of our lives. Life can be challenging and you might be finding that issues and worries have come to the forefront of your mind.
What to Expect from Therapy
Entering therapy can be the first step to changing your life. You will learn more about yourself which will enable you to make positive change to your life. With this new understanding you will have clarity as to the causes of your problems and you will feel empowered to make change.
I work in a person-centred way which means I believe you have the tools internally to help yourself. I will help you find them, recognise them and then teach you how to use them. I feel passionate about empowering my clients so that they can move forward and lead a more fulfilled and happy life.
Counsellor/Client Relationship
At our first session we will explore your situation and see if we feel we can work together. It is essential that our relationship is right, and you feel able to talk to me and trust me to listen in a non-judgmental way, for therapeutic change to happen.
