I am an integrative counsellor bringing creativity to my online therapeutic work. I have been practising for 8 years and qualified as an online counsellor 12 months ago.
Like many, I started working online as a result of Covid-19. However, it was always an area I had been interested in and I found the transition easy, which made it easier for my clients as we all muddled through those early days of unmuting, cats appearing and bandwidth dropping.
Safe to say, I have streamlined my practice following undertaking further training in online therapy and as well as offering confidential counselling via Zoom, can also encourage clients to consider email counselling or live chat work.
I find that bringing a creative aspect to our work can be beneficial and often help overcome any anxieties around online work. If you are unsure about the therapeutic process, I am happy to offer a ‘no obligation’ trial session of 25-30 minutes where you can decide if it is an approach that suits you too. Likewise, if you are interested but feel you lack the technical ‘know-how’ (and I’m sure you don’t!), I’m also happy to provide a 15 minute ‘tour’ of Zoom to get you started.
I’m committed to working at your pace and within your means. For some clients, this means fortnightly sessions, other clients may find 30 minute sessions suit their budget and availability.
I am person-centred trained, meaning I am directed by what your therapy goals are. Within that approach, I use techniques based around coaching approaches, working creatively with clients and collaborative work towards your goals and aims.
