I believe that we all have the ability to “self-right” if given the support and opportunity to do so. This is where counselling and psychotherapy can play an important part. My aim is to provide a safe and consistent space for you to be able to talk through what is troubling you, without judgment or any expectations.
My theoretical influences are Attachment Theory, Person Centred, Transactional Analysis, Intergenerational and Transgenerational theory, amongst others. I see therapy as a way to view your life story and experiences through different lenses, enabling understanding and meaning. Through this different perspective, you can begin to make choices that are more helpful and updated.
I work in a client led way, taking the lead from you and seeking to understand your experience of your life and the world rather than my interpretation of it. By aiming to empathically understand, we can work together to look for resolution and deeper contentment.
I offer the first session at no cost to enable you and I to meet to see if we would be able to work together. This gives me the chance to find out more about you, to let you know more about how my approach may be able to help, and for you to experience without any commitment the type of therapy I offer.
I work with older teens upwards. I also work with couples and families.
Lived experience and further training has enabled me to work with parent carers of adults and young people living with neuodiversity and genetic syndromes. I have experience of supporting the parent carers of this community from pre diagnosis to adulthood, at any stage of their journey.
Other areas of interest include Bi-Polar disorder, Depression, Anxiety, Family Dynamics, Relationships and Loss. However, I have experience in and am able to work with many other of life's challenges. My background is in bereavement, and I have worked with a diverse range of clients in London, Sussex both in person and online. Clients have come from widely differing backgrounds, cultures with different life experiences.

I am an humanistic and psychodynamic integrative psychotherapist based in East Sussex. I trained at the Minster Centre, and have been in clinical practice for over 25 years. During this time, I have worked in a variety of setting whilst maintaining a private practice. I was a Lead Tutor for a BACP accredited Humanistic Integrative Counselling Diploma course, and have run workshops and training, both online and in person. I have been working online since 2016, originally as a counsellor providing text-based therapy and then as a Clinical Lead in both a UK wide and global organisation.
I believe that Supervision is a collegiate and collaborative space and aim to facilitate a space that is encouraging, nurturing and safe. I use the theoretical idea of the 7 Eyed Process, Poctor & Inskip and IDM. I am able to work creatively if this is appropriate.
