My counselling experience includes working for Mind, Cruse Bereavement Care, Blue Cross Pet Bereavement Support Service, NHS referred clients, YANA (a farming charity) as well as private practice. My clients tell me I'm easy to talk to and a good listener. However, although empathic listening is an important part of the process, there's much more to therapy than that. Our work together may help you to see things from a different perspective, explore possible changes, coping strategies and options, helping you to move forward in the way you want to.
I'm passionate about working with people in a way that enables them to make positive changes in their life. For example, finding ways to cope with problems, clarifying and expressing difficult feelings, sometimes making sense of the past or identifying unhelpful thinking styles. By providing an empathic, non judgmental environment, I hope to provide you with the opportunity to better understand yourself and work towards bringing about life changes. My versatility means I'm comfortable working with adults of all ages, genders and backgrounds

I've had a lot of experience of working with people with low self esteem, low confidence, imposter syndrome, work issues and family dynamics. I have a particular interest in working with academics, phd students, university staff, doctors and other medical staff.
