I am an experienced accredited counsellor and counselling assessor working with anxiety, bereavement and loss, depression and low mood, issues of self-confidence and self-esteem, relationship issues, exploring meaning and purpose in life and work-related stress. I have a specialism in bereavement and loss.

I place value on forming a secure therapeutic relationship with you. Whatever your reason(s) for seeking counselling now, my aim is to work with you in gaining an understanding and awareness of these areas and for us to work together to enable you to find ways to manage and make sense of and move forward in your life.

Since 2013, I have worked within a range of contexts including the NHS and mental health charities. I have been running my private practice in the City of London since 2018 offering in person and online appointments via Zoom.

I am a registered health provider for major health insurers including Aviva, Bupa, Care First and IPRS Health.

I have a professional Diploma in Counselling accredited by Roehampton University and have qualified in Grief & Bereavement Counselling through the Institute of Counselling linked with Glasgow Caledonian University.

I am a Registered, Accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), the Association of Christians in Counselling and Linked Professions (ACC), and the Association for Counsellors and Therapists Online (ACTO). I am a qualified Online Counsellor.

My approach is relational, which means I place value on the counselling relationship between me and you. I work in a collaborative way to help you to work through the issues that you are bringing to counselling.

My approach is integrative which means that I have been trained in, and can use, several different counselling approaches: for example, psychodynamic, person-centred, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) and models of bereavement. After listening to your concerns, I use the counselling approaches which I consider most suitable to your own individual circumstances; in this way my counselling approach is tailored to your needs.

My approach is also holistic which means that I reflect upon your history and current circumstances and all aspects of functioning including relational, physical, emotional, volitional, rational, existential and spiritual. It can be helpful to consider your past experience and in your current circumstances. As our work progresses, we may explore how significant relationships and events may have contributed to and continue to influence your current experience. Recognising this can help you make new choices which can facilitate lasting change in the way you feel about yourself and your relationships and enable you to move forward in your life.

I work with individual adults.
