I am an Integrative Therapist and this means that I work with you to bring an approach best suited to your individual needs and circumstances. As we work together, I consider you as a whole being - that includes your emotional, physical and spiritual wellbeing, as well as the community or culture in which you live and were brought up in. I feel that relationship is at the heart of everything - my relationship with you, and yours in the world outside therapy. Through our relationships, we can heal ourselves.
Life has it's ups and downs and I believe that there is no shame in saying that you need help with emotional difficulties. I've had to overcome life crises of my own and these experiences help me to empathise with other people’s struggles.
I work with individuals on an open-ended basis as a psychotherapist or for an agreed time period as a counsellor, with the aim of enabling you to understand yourself, enhance your life and to live it more fully. By looking at our unconscious thoughts, dreams and behaviour, we can gradually develop insight and stop repeating the things that hold us back from being all we can be.
Using an integrative approach, I am happy to work using a number of creative approaches. This does not mean that you have to be an artist! It just means that sometimes, non-talking approaches help us to understand our feelings in more depth. This may include exploring your dreams, using of photographs of yourself or using the breath and body to understand feelings. Engaging with experiences that you have that may be hard to share with others because they are hard to define or your spiritual experiences can also help us to work with the challenges you are having in your life.
My aim is to be open, fair and to give everyone an equal service, respecting difference and diversity. I am eager and open to discuss any adjustments you may need.

I am a UKCP recognised Supervisor. I am trained and qualified as both an online and in person supervisor.
It is important to me that the supervision I offer is based on a warm person-to-person collaboration. Relationships are at the heart of our work as therapists, and so I aim to support you in the way that you aspire to be with your clients.
In our work together, I will encourage you to bring both yourself and the client into the room. I feel it is important that supervisees can reflect on and explore their own responses to client work without judgement.
I have over a decade's experience as a qualified integrative therapist and counsellor, and also have extensive experience teaching counselling and research. Prior to that, I worked at the Samaritans for 12 years as a volunteer. My CPD experience spans a wide range of subjects. My academic research is into individuals who have spiritual / anomalous experiences.
Some of my supervisees like to have all of their supervision once a month, whilst others weekly or fortnightly. I can work flexibly with you to best meet your needs.

I use the seven-eyed model of supervision (Shohet & Watkins). I am excited to offer supervision as a reflective practice across all modalities. Supervision has always been the cornerstone of my own practice, offering support, insight and comfort. I want to offer others the space and trust that I have received. My aim is to support supervisees to work authentically and safely, learning as we go.
