I am an Integrative therapist, working in my independent practice with adults and young people over 14 years old. I’ve been working as a therapist for more than fifteen years: In primary and bereavement care, and in educational and organisational settings. I began working online in 2012 and bring a wealth of experience as an online therapist, trainer and supervisor both nationally and internationally.
As an Integrative counsellor, I’m trained and experienced in all major therapeutic approaches, and can choose and blend these as best suits your individual needs. I am always humbled by people’s capacity for renewal and recovery from the most challenging and painful experiences. I see my role as offering the most respectful, empathic, informed and honest therapeutic relationship I can.
I work online with both short-term and long-term clients and am happy to respond to enquiries and further questions. More information can also be found about my work in particular and online therapy in general at my website: www.LGHCounselling.com
I am trained and experienced to work across a range of modalities; from psychodynamic, transpersonal and existential to short, focussed exercises, CBT and creative techniques.
My own research interests tend towards a blend of psychodynamic and existential approaches; however, the collaborative partnership I form with each client drives the unique direction each piece of work takes, grounded in a relationship based on respect, honesty and care.
Adults,
Young people aged 14 and over
I work with people experiencing a wide range of issues, including:
o Feeling overwhelmed and unable to cope or concentrate
o An inability to deal with stress or recover from stressful situations
o Lack of confidence, excessive shyness or low self esteem
o Feelings of depression, sadness, grief or emptiness
o Anxiety, panic attacks, mood swings and phobias
o Debilitating feelings of anger or fear
o Difficulty making or sustaining relationships, or repeatedly becoming involved in unsatisfying or destructive relationships
o Identity issues
o Sexuality and gender issues
o Difficulties in coming to terms with losses such as bereavement, separation or loss of employment
o Traumatic past events and experiences
o Self-harm and self-harming behaviours
o Obsessive behaviour
I think therapy can also be a proactive choice to:
o Understand longstanding patterns of behaviour and thought which may no longer be helpful
o Challenge blocks to creativity and facilitate personal development and growth
o Explore beliefs, hopes and ambitions for the future and their achievement
I charge £60 for each 50 minute session, across all formats. Sessions are usually weekly at an agreed time.

I offer online supervision, working with therapists with online, face to face and blended practices. With a decade's experience of online therapy, I have amassed considerable national and international experience in online supervision and training.
I work with therapists across a range of modalities and have experience supporting a wide range of client work, with particular experience in online safeguarding and supervising work with young people as well as adults.
As an Integrative therapist and supervisor my approach is to collaborate with you in finding the most effective way of supporting your clients and the development of your own, ethically centred practice.
I work with supervision groups and with individuals - please contact me for group supervision rates or visit my website at www.LGHCounselling.com for more information.
In addition to supervising general private practice work, I have particular interest in supervising therapeutic work with:
• Adolescents and young adults
• Online therapy
• Safeguarding and Child Protection related work
• Trauma
• International and culturally complex work, including work with refugees and unaccompanied asylum-seeking young people
As an Integrative therapist and supervisor my approach is to collaborate with you in finding the most effective way of supporting your clients and the development of your own, ethically centred practice.
I draw upon a range of supervision models including those in most widespread use at present (e.g., Inskipp & Proctor, Hawkins & Shohet and Page & Woskit). I am also very interested in the research undertaken by Ronnestad and Skovholt, feminist models of supervision especially the work of Ann Prouty and findings on risk management by Ganwade
Please email me if you have any further questions the site doesn't answer, or if you would like to arrange an initial 60 minute supervision session to see if working together would be be right for you.
My hourly rate (60mins) for individual supervision is £65/ 70 Euro. I charge £120 / 135 Euro per 90 min for group supervision (up to 4 per group).
Although I do not run pre-existing supervision groups, I welcome organisations or groups of therapists to apply as a group for supervision with me.
