Often in life we may find ourselves in situations that are difficult to manage. You may be experiencing current challenges that you need support with or identified problems or traumas form childhood that keep you stuck and from realising your full potential. Our relationship with our primary caregivers may have been subject to inconsistencies, breakdowns, trauma or abuse. Children very carefully construct defences in order to protect themselves. In adulthood, these can be counter-productive and may result in emotional difficulties and unproductive behaviour.

I have a passionate interest in family histories and how this helped to shape our personalities, including the 'Hot Potato' - behaviours and thinking that is passed from generation to generation, which can be unhelpful. I am also interested in how generational trauma can impact us. It is possible to explore and trace back to a time when those decisions were made and to implement new decisions and helpful behaviours, in a supportive, safe, empathetic, confidential space, where you will not be judged or told what to do.

I am committed in supporting you to connect with your sense of self, others and life in general, in order for you to thrive and secure a positive future.

I am an accredited member of the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS), adhering to their Code of Ethics. I am also fully insured to practice.
