I am a Certified Sensorimotor Psychotherapist and a Senior Accredited Member of BACP.
I have over 25 years of experience working therapeutically with people in a range of settings including forensic, NHS, charities alongside those who choose to self fund.
I offer a pluralist approach, so therapy can meet your individual needs and goals. Although I work from the position of how the body and mind interplay.
I am a Certified Advanced Sensorimotor Psychotherapist and EMDR therapist. This means I can support people suffering with symptoms that are the legacy of experiences of trauma alongside attachment related difficulties.
I know that although help can be there, stigma continues to exist in relation to accessing support. Though the culture has shifted concerning mental health and well-being I cannot ignore the stigma that still exists and so R&R (restore and recover) was created to try and connect with those of you who may find it hard to ask for help. I then engaged in online training so that I could practice competently online and access more people who may want help and choice about who their therapist is and not be restricted by geography.
I primarily use a body oriented approach because people have a mind and body that interacts constantly in the present moment and is in constant communication with the world outside the body. Together we supporting the nervous system to regulate symptoms associated with Trauma and PTSD through creating resources to cope when triggered and bring the body and mind back to safety and regulation.
I help process underlying trauma that may be hijacking the system in the current day and support the healing of Attachment related wounds.
