I offer integrative therapy combining different therapeutic tools and approaches to fit the needs of the individual clients.
I am 64 years old married for 46 years with two grown-up children. My personal counselling experience brought about huge self-awareness and understanding leading me on the journey I now travel: I qualified as a Counsellor & Psychotherapist in 2011 at the University of Stirling, going on in 2013 to become a Counselling Supervisor. My theory is person-centred although I offer integrative therapy which is a progressive form of psychotherapy that combines different therapeutic tools and approaches to fit the needs of the individual client. I specialise in helping the clients explore their emotions/feelings and understand their behaviours: how their past influences their present day. We can't change the past but we can let go of it, leaving us free to recognise we have choices and there is more than one path. I am not only a therapist I am a human being who has her own story to inform my practice.
Are you anxious and finding life overwhelming, suddenly the simplest decisions are impossible - this may be situational, relational or historical; large or small I offer a space to speak freely secure in the knowledge our sessions are confidential. I have been working as Clinical Supervisor for 10 years.
I value the supervisory relationship, having the space to reflect with my supervisor and challenge my practice brings professional and personal growth. I believe it is important to have a supervisor that you can be truly yourself bringing the best and worst of your practice knowing this will be supported. This is where the growth comes. As a supervisor I work with Counsellors and trainee counsellors building supportive yet challenging relationships, where the supervisee can review and reflect on their practice.

I value getting to know my supervisee and their modality prior to starting the work together. we will establish the requirements of the course and more importantly how the supervisee wishes to work. This is a collaboration to allow the supervisee to grow and develop their practice professionally and personally.
