I offer integrative therapy combining different therapeutic tools and approaches to fit the needs of the individual clients.
I am 66 years old and have proudly been married for 48 years, raising two accomplished grown children. My journey in counselling has resulted in deep self-awareness and insight. I earned my qualifications as a Counsellor and Psychotherapist in 2011 from the University of Stirling, and I advanced my expertise by becoming a Counselling Supervisor in 2013.
I employ a person-centred approach, complemented by integrative therapy—an innovative practice that blends various therapeutic tools to meet each client's individual needs. My speciality lies in guiding clients to explore their emotions and understand their behaviours, particularly how their past shapes their present experiences.
While we cannot change the past, we have the power to let it go, freeing ourselves to recognize that we have choices and multiple paths before us. As a therapist, I bring not only my professional skills but also my own life experiences that enrich my practice.
Are you anxious and finding life overwhelming, suddenly the simplest decisions are impossible - this may be situational, relational or historical; large or small, I offer a space to speak freely, secure in the knowledge that our sessions are confidential. My theory is person centred although I offer Integrative therapy which is a progressive form of psychotherapy that combines different therapeutic tools and approaches to fit the needs of the individual client.
I specialise in helping the clients explore their emotions/feelings and understand their behaviours; how their past influences their present day. We can't change the past but we can let go of it. Leaving us free to recognise we have choices and there is more than one path.
I am not only a therapist I am a human being who has her own story to inform my practice

I have been working as a Clinical Supervisor for 13 years.
I deeply value the supervisory relationship as it offers a safe space for reflection and the opportunity to confront and challenge my practice. It’s essential to have a supervisor with whom you can be completely authentic, sharing your triumphs and struggles. Knowing that you will be met with understanding and support creates an environment where true growth can occur. As a supervisor myself, I strive to build nurturing yet challenging relationships with counsellors and trainee counsellors. This enables them to review and reflect on their practices in a way that honours their journey and fosters deeper understanding and development.

I value getting to know my supervisee and their modality before starting the work together. We will establish the course requirements and, more importantly, how the supervisee wishes to work. This collaboration allows the supervisee to grow and develop their practice professionally and personally.
