I am a BACP Accredited counsellor/psychotherapist, clinical supervisor and Affiliated Lecturer at the Faculty of Education, University of Cambridge. Offering Online counselling since 2014, via Skype, Zoom, Whatsapp, email counselling, text, use of the arts online and live chat. After conducting research with students I set up a successful online e-counselling service at a University in 2014. This led to managing and setting up an online wellbeing and mental health service for students during Covid-19.
Devised an online training programme for volunteer counsellors and professionals working in palliative care in line with BACP Coronavirus Primer. During Covid-19 I taught trainee psychotherapists online as part of a PG Diploma in psychotherapeutic counselling and devised innovative pedagogical techniques. Presented at an Online mini-conference for students and therapists - Holding the Space: Working in Relationship with Children and Young People Online for the CAPC programme at University of Cambridge in 2021 - title . Have presented online Mindfulness sessions for staff at the Festival of Wellbeing at University of Cambridge for Equality and Diversity Events in 2020, 2021 and 2022. Passionate about online therapy and how this can be integrated into face to face Diploma and Degree programmes. Very interested in Online writing for wellbeing and Bibliotherapy online. Planning a pedagogical research study post-pandemic.
