My core approach is client-led but I integrate other styles of therapy into the work, predominantly Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Solution Focused.
My goal is to assist people gain their fullest potential and a new perspective on life and over many years I have had the privilege of seeing people leave me as stronger, resolved, and self-assured individuals.
My therapy style is friendly, empathic, and interactive. The person-centred approach values you as the expert of your life but I am there to guide you through your own thoughts, feelings, and emotions. You will be treated with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. I don't believe in stigmatizing labels. so I will be non-judgmental.
It takes courage to seek a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards change. I know that personally! However, my empathic, warm, and caring character, along with a safe and welcoming environment, will support, encourage, and ultimately empower you to reach the potential you wish and gain a new perspective on life.

Email or phone me and we will set up a 'getting to know you' session. This will be where I will explain further how I work and answer any questions. I will listen to the reason(s) why you have contacted me and we will talk about what you hope to gain from counselling. This will then give us both a greater insight as to whether I'm the right person to help you.
The initial email or phone contact is not an avenue for in-depth work, it is just an introduction to one another. If you're happy to continue, after our first meeting, we'll set up a second session and from there will arrange to see (or speak to) each other on a basis that suits you - weekly or fortnightly. We will then continue until the relationship has served its purpose. I work at your pace and via phone or Zoom.
