I’m a psychodynamic therapist who is trauma-informed. This means I’m attentive to how your past may be affecting your present; if you have past wounds that need healing, I work to avoid retraumatising. In addition to talking therapy, I can help you find ways to regulate your emotions and tune in to your bodily responses. I’m open to whatever you bring, and seek to help you value your unique and authentic self.

Apologies but I'm not currently taking on clients.

Whatever you’re facing, you don’t need to be all alone with it. When you’re overcome with grief, anxiety, or other overwhelming states, being deeply heard can bring relief. A trusting relationship with an empathetic counsellor can be the first step towards healing. I offer a safe, confidential space to explore your thoughts and feelings.

Counselling can help give you greater clarity about yourself, your relationships, and your strengths. I seek to understand your unique experiences and whatever you wish to share of your inner world. As a psychodynamic therapist, I listen for how your past experiences might be triggered or re-enacted in the present. Understanding this can be helpful, because if we can start to identify and resolve past hurts, we can more easily see when we’re unconsciously reacting to the past and repeating old patterns. And then we become more able to make new, conscious, choices in life.

Sometimes we have been wounded in ways that are not easily retrieved as conscious memories. I can work with you to understand how your body may be expressing or holding onto emotions that can’t always be put into words. Therapy goes at your own pace. By being gently accompanied in exploring your inner world, you can better discover who you are, and ways to contend with what’s impacting you.

I have experience helping clients with anxiety, depression, childhood trauma (PTSD Type II), self-worth and low self-esteem, bereavement, relationship problems, spiritual questions, chronic illness and caregiving. I have a particular interest in ME/CFS and Long Covid, disability, belonging and identity, adoption, and infertility. I am committed to proving a safe and nurturing therapeutic space for all clients, regardless of ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, disability, or any other consideration.

I understand that looking for a counsellor can be daunting. I also know it’s vitally important to find a therapist you feel you can build a trusting relationship with. I offer a free chat if you would like to meet with me and explore how I might be able to help you. I can work short-term or long term, and I offer concessionary rates. Please don’t hesitate to contact me if you are interested or have any questions. You can also visit my website to find out more about me and how I work.
