Senior Professional Member
I am a Registered and Accredited Member of the BACP as a Counsellor/Therapist. I am a Professional Level 2 Member of ACTO as Counsellor/Therapist. I am also a Clinical Supervisor and an Associate Member BSP (Barbados Society of Psychology). I began my counselling training in 2008 with the University of East London. I am in continuous professional development and clinical supervision.
I enjoy being a therapist, a clinical supervisor as well as a trainer to therapists who are keen to work online with CYP and parents. I have a varied background, which offers me an alternative perspective on my clients journeys into therapy. My experiences allow me to draw upon the wealth of knowledge of differing cultural backgrounds, socio-economic experiences and other points of difference to support them to feel seen, heard and understood. I support clients to manage and understand their confusion, fear or low self-esteem. I work alongside them as they feel more empowered to make changes or find acceptance in their lives. Clients (CYP or adults) know when something is not working in their daily lives, and sometimes they need the space to find clarity in their relationships. I offer a place to explore anger, anxiety, and loss. Clients are able to express themselves, to explore their relationships and school/college/work difficulties and it provides them with breathing space. As a therapist I am interested in supporting clients to gain awareness and insight into what they need. This may be through talking or creative therapy.
My approach is based upon building a trusting and stable relationship with clients. I work primarily in a person-centred way. I have a grounding in child and adult development, underpinned by attachment theory. I believe by having a systemic understanding of my clients lives provides me with insight into how my clients worlds evolve for them And this allows me to meet my clients whether CYP, adults or struggling parents where they are at, without judgement.

Online Supervisor Profile
I am a integrative supervisor providing supervision individually and in groups. I offer supervision primarily to counsellor/therapists but also others in the helping profession. I work with practitioners offering therapy to children, young people and adults whether remotely or F2F or a hybrid of both.
I have a particular interest in working with therapists that are new to working remotely, especially those with an international background. I enjoy the collaborative exploration of client work with therapists both newly qualified and established. I currently only offer clinical supervision remotely.
