I have been working as a psychotherapeutic counsellor for over ten years.
Clients have told me I am warm, open, and kind, and this has allowed them to accept challenge whilst still feeling safely held.
I believe that we all have unique experiences, even within the same families, friendship groups and communities and this means we also have unique responses and ways of coping when life becomes difficult. It is my absolute elite that you are the expert on you. My job is not to direct or diagnose, but to help you to learn more about yourself and rediscover your capacity for self healing.
I am a qualified Integrative Therapist and Supervisor (I'm trained in several different types of therapy) but my core approach is Person Centred.
I can help you gain a better understanding of yourself, your thoughts and feelings; I won't tell you what to do, but will help you discover for yourself, what you need.
Clients often say that after just one session they feel 'lighter' from simply talking about about what's going on for them.
When you are able to talk about your feelings and experiences without fear of judgement or embarrassment it helps you to gain a better perspective.
Getting started may feel scary so we arrange an introductory meeting to give you the opportunity to feel comfortable with me.
This also gives me the chance to familiarise myself with the difficulties you are experiencing and ensure counselling is right for you. We can then set a time for regular sessions which last 50 minutes.
How long you continue in therapy is entirely up to you, it's a very personal process. Some find six sessions are enough to untangle and clarify things for now, for others, particularly those who have been dealing with difficult feelings for a long time, the journey can be much longer and deeper.
However you choose to use therapy I will offer a safe, gentle approach to support your journey

I will strive to create an environment where you feel comfortable to bring whatever is on your mind, with no judgement or criticism. A safety net that allows you to let go without fear, and with space to explore not just how your client work is progressing but how it feels for you.
Supervision is fundamental to the counselling process and an essential tool to ensure that counsellors are working in service of their clients whilst also maintaining their own wellbeing. As a Level 6 Clinical Supervisor I combine the Seven Eyed Model with the Integrative Development Model and have undertaken additional specific training in online, telephone and asynchronous counselling to work with counsellors who work remotely to adhere to BACP guidelines.
I have experience in a range of areas, with a special interest in trauma.
The reason I chose to become a supervisor is much the same as the reason I became a therapist; I’ve had really great ones, and really dreadful ones, so I know how it feels to have a lot to say and no idea how to say it.
Clients have told me I am warm, open, and kind, and this has allowed them to accept challenge whilst still feeling safely held. This is what I endeavour to also bring to our supervision sessions. This is your journey and through the supervision models I use combined with a relational approach I want you to feel that you are able to fulfil your potential as a therapist.
I will strive to create an environment where you feel comfortable to bring whatever is on your mind, with no judgement or criticism. A safety net that allows you to let go without fear, and with space to explore not just how your client work is progressing but how it feels
for you.
I love working creatively and try to tailor sessions so they feel like
they really fit with you and your way of working. I use felt sense a lot in everything I do and believe our somatic experiences are just as important as our memories, this applies to counsellors as much as clients, sometimes what you feel in a session can offer much more than what you have read in a book.
I spent a number of years volunteering as a therapist for a Gloucestershire based counselling charity where I now supervise volunteers. I have worked in private practice since 2013 and also work for a mental health and disability charitable trust.
For the first six years I worked 1:1 with individuals whose mental health had caused extreme isolation. From 2021 to 2023 advocate I sat on the advisory board for the local ICS Community Mental Health Transformation project, where I also had the pleasure of working with some amazing experts by experience.
My work is informed by Internal Family Systems and I have a particular interest in early life trauma and it’s relationship to later life diagnosis of personality disorder.
£75 per 90min session
For newly qualified counsellors I am happy to offer more frequent, shorter sessions at £25 per 30 mins whilst you establish your practice.
