Are you thinking about counselling online? And would you like a supervisor to help support you in that process? If you are, I would love the opportunity to be part of your journey! Originally from the UK, I moved to Bangkok, Thailand in 2010 and have 20 years of training and experience as a person-centered psychotherapist, accredited with the NCPS. I set up a very successful face-to-face private practice in Bangkok working with other economic migrants from a multitude of different cultures, ethnicities and orientations. But, as clients migrated, I continued working with them online and in 2021 made the decision to transition my entire practice permanently online. I have undertaken online-specific counselling and supervision training and am currently completing a Psychology Research Master's Degree.
I've always really benefited from regular online supervision, both professionally and personally, and being able to offer a collaborative, non-judgemental space for other therapists is at the very core of who I want to be as a supervisor.
My intention for supervision is to support you and your clients within a fully confidential space that will always be explorative and with the objective of inquiring to understand, not to expose or suggest any wrongdoing. Your client’s safety is paramount, but not at the expense of your well-being or professional ability.
My therapeutic practice includes, amongst others, drawing on the theories of Rodgers, Gestalt, Jung, Freud et al., whilst also focusing on Attachment, CBT/REBT, Inner Child, Grief/Loss working with both adults and couples.
I appreciate honesty and always want supervision to be a safe place for discussion and collaboration if there's something either of us disagree with or don't understand. I would always prefer to be challenged rather than you being left feeling unable to say what you need, especially if you are not in agreement with anything that is suggested or is uncomfortable for you.
Together we will work through any issues as they arise, and you can be assured that I will always give you my honest and professional opinion at all times. As well as giving you the benefit of my own personal experience, I will also give you tools, theories and strategies to support you and your client in achieving their therapeutic goal.
I really want you to enjoy supervision and look forward to our sessions together, rather than it being something that you think of as an obligation. Our relationship is incredibly important to me and from the moment we meet I am working for you and alongside you. You are the expert of your clients, and my supervision role is to offer different perspectives and explore the options that best suit your clients’ needs and issues as they arise.
I also want you to feel that you can bring anything to supervision, it doesn't just have to be client work that's discussed. It can also be a place to explore your own personal circumstances as well as professional and business development or anything else that you feel is relevant to your therapeutic practice that can enhance my understanding of what you need from me.
I adhere to the ethical requirements of therapists in the UK and through my supervision support specifically reference NCPS supervision guidelines alongside the requirements of your own country/licensing/accreditation conditions.
I would like us to meet without any initial cost or obligation to allow you the opportunity to determine if I’m the right person to support you in your counselling practice going forward. I appreciate that supervision is a long-term financial commitment and that it’s important that you find a safe, non-judgemental space to continue to grow as an ethical counsellor for yourself and your clients. Thereafter my fee is 65 GBP/HR
