I offer a confidential, non-judgemental counselling service for individuals and couples. I provide a regular space and time for you to explore life’s current difficulties, supporting you to find new ways to live your life more effectively.

I first trained to become a bereavement counsellor with Cruse Bereavement Care in 2011, working with adults, children and young people facing grief and loss. Since then, I continued to diversify and develop my skills and experience through RelateNI; working with couples and individuals; RNIB on their Need to Talk Project (NTT) providing telephone counselling; Familyworks as a post-primary schools counsellor; Jigsaw Project as a primary school counsellor; Self Harm Intervention Programme (SHIP) as a crisis counsellor and within other various community counselling settings before opening my own private practice. I am also an associate counsellor for Inspire, a leading provider of workplace wellbeing solutions, delivering mental health and wellbeing support to some of the UK and Ireland’s leading private, public and third sector organisations.

I have over fifteen years experience of working in the statutory and voluntary sectors as a Youth Worker, Mentor and Facilitator, specialising in assessing the social, emotional, behavioural and educational needs of young people and devising programmes to enable them to be reach their full potential. I have a wealth of experience as a trainer of accredited and non-accredited courses.

I am a professionally qualified youth worker following the completion of my BA (Hons) Youth Work. This is validated by the Joint Negotiating Committee (JNC) which recognises youth and community workers’ qualifications that have been professionally approved by the Education Training Standards (ETS) Committee of the National Youth Agency.

I am an Accredited Professional Registrant of the National Counselling & Psychotherapy Society PNCPS (Acc.) and as such I abide by their Code of Ethics.

National Counselling & Psychotherapy Society Code of Ethics.

As an integrative counsellor I believe that there is no single approach that can treat each client in all situations. Rather, each client needs to be considered as a whole and counselling techniques must be tailored to the individual needs and personal circumstances with paramountcy on forming a sound therapeutic relationship between client and counsellor.

Online Supervisor Profile

I am a dedicated and experienced Professional and Senior Supervisor with a strong background in counselling, training, and reflective practice. I offer a supportive, collaborative, and ethical space for professionals to grow, navigate challenges, and strengthen their practice. My approach is integrative, trauma-informed, and grounded in years of front-line and supervisory experience across diverse settings.

As a Professional Supervisor, I bring over 18 years of experience supporting practitioners across a range of disciplines, including counselling, youth work, social care, education, and community-based services. My supervision style is relational, reflective, and rooted in trauma-informed and strengths-based approaches.

I am trained in the Seven-Eyed Model of Supervision, which allows me to offer a comprehensive and dynamic approach that attends not only to the client work and practitioner process, but also to the wider systems and relational dynamics involved. This model provides a rich framework for exploring the complexities of professional practice and for deepening insight, accountability, and professional growth.

I provide a supportive yet appropriately challenging space where supervisees can explore their work, process complex dynamics, and develop both professionally and personally. I see supervision as a collaborative process; one that encourages growth, self-awareness, ethical integrity, and resilience.

My approach is underpinned by clear professional boundaries, cultural humility, and a commitment to anti-oppressive, values-based practice. I work integratively, drawing on multiple supervision theories and methods to meet the unique needs of each individual or team. Whether you are newly qualified or an experienced practitioner, I aim to meet you where you are and walk alongside you as you navigate the demands of your role.

Supervision can be offered 1:1, in groups, or in team settings, either in person or online. I have particular experience supporting professionals working with trauma, risk, and complexity, especially in contexts involving marginalised communities, safeguarding, and frontline emotional labour.

ABOUT ME
I offer a confidential, non-judgemental counselling service for individuals and couples. I provide a regular space and time for you to explore life’s current difficulties, supporting you to find new ways to live your life more effectively.

As an integrative counsellor I believe that there is no single approach that can treat each client in all situations. Rather, each client needs to be considered as a whole and counselling techniques must be tailored to the individual needs and personal circumstances with paramountcy on forming a sound therapeutic relationship between client and counsellor.

I offer both short term and long term counselling therapy, for example, if you only have one issue you want to exclusively focus on, a short-term therapy might be best. If you’d like to understand yourself, and how your past has informed your present day patterns, have several issues you’d like to approach, or just aren’t sure what you will discover? Long-term therapy might be called for.

We can explore your needs within our initial session.
