I am a Senior accredited Psychosexual Therapist with 18 years qualified experience. I see individuals and couples and additional people e.g. that are in Polyamory relationships. Sex addiction is rife worldwide and currently this is the bulk of my work, but I am always delighted to have people with other problems contact me too.
I specialise in Sexual problems, Sexual Addicition (and any other compulsive behaviours) and problems in relationships. I also work to keep sexual behaviour within the UK laws. I worked for 11 years with University students experiencing mental health conditions. I am experienced in conditions that need a bit more knowledge such as Perfectionism and Procrastonation, inner child work and toxic parents.
I am kind, understanding and I am keen on making meaning of experiences. I explain my rational for asking you to eg try out something different than your normal responses , between appointments. Therapy is normally only once per week and much can be gained by this. I work integratively by chosing approaches that mach individual and couples- 1 size does not fit all. I check out with you how we are getting on and if you are happy with our work so far - or do you need something else - which is a collaborative approach, a bit like a team working together to help you understand yourself better and make any changes that you want to make.

I am a Senior Supervisor for student and qualified Therapists having various theoretical approaches. I specialise in Sexual and Relationship Therapy, Sexual addiction, mild to moderate mental health problems and many other conditions. I work with Supervisees from English training programs and Scottish training programs, as well as qualified Therapist from widley different backgrounds.
I am Psychotherapeutic Supervisor, which means, in our relationship I consider the body mind and soul of both myself and my Supervisees. It is not Therapy for Supervisees, but an invitation to share our vulnerabilities, which helps us understand why we may react in certain ways to our clients and each other. This can help to make meaning of the Supervisee relationship and Supervisees relationships with their clients. Everyone makes mistakes and I help to make being curious about mistakes a normal part of the learning experience. Everything that we learn is useful, even if we consider something to be a mistake. I'm not a super serious person, although I take my work seriously, but if and when appropriate, I like to lighten the load when I see the lighter side of life. Laughter is good for the Therapeutic relationships. I also work in a Compassionate focused way.
I worked with University students for 11 years re common mental health conditions. Relationships, e.g. affairs, betrayal, arguments, break up, poor communication, Poly relationships. Sexual problems, addiction to love and sex, Fetishes, Kink aware and other compulsive behaviours eg substances. I also work to help keep sexual behaviour within the UK laws. I have experience of breif Therapy for e.g. common mental health conditions and open ended Therapy e.g. Inner child work. I like CPD and use Polyvagal Theory, Internal Family Systems, to name but 2 useful approaches.
I remember what it feels like to just be starting out to see clients. Much of our time is focused on ourself, are we doing things right? So in the beginning Supervisees need understanding, support and encouragement. As they progress in their career, they do need the aforementioned input, however may have moved into more complex work, when the application of theory to practice is more to the fore. All Supervisees are treated with kindness, understanding and a will from me to help them be the best Therapist or Counsellor they can be.
Supervision x1 per month is £75 per appointment.
