I am a qualified Gestalt Counsellor, and have worked in various settings providing counselling. This includes Mind, NHS, and currently I freelance for a psychology service BGPS as an Associate Counsellor offering 1:1 counselling for staff and clients who have experienced homelessness. This work takes me to less conventional therapeutic settings, for example, cafes, parks, walking and talking and in-reach in clients’ homes often working in collaboration with other services. I have delivered Reflective Practice Group Sessions for staff members in a range of organisations and 1:1 Reflective Practice. I work on behalf of a social enterprise organisation Fat Macys, offering counselling for service users and staff members. I run my private practice in a therapeutic setting, Podium Longcroft House (EC2M) and currently facilitating online Group counselling sessions for LBTQ and LGBTQ+ POC & BIPOC people for London Friend.

Being a Gestalt Counsellor means the work we do together is humanistic and relational. Our work together will focus on the 'here and now', what you are immediately bringing with you into the counselling process. The process is to support you to focus on your thoughts, feelings and behaviours and understand better the way you relate to others and yourself. This allows you to start to become more self-aware, reflective, and live your life to your fullest potential.

My approach is to create an environment that feels safe and holding. I will listen attentively and empathically, offering reflection when needed. I work experientially and have an understanding that when there are language barriers, verbal expression feels challenging and words may become stuck, I can provide a space for exploring alternative ways to find expression, sometimes incorporating creativity to support the counselling process

Adults 18+ from a wide range of backgrounds, presenting issues which prevent living to their full potential, including LGBTQ+ communities, homeless clients, POC & BIPOC communities and students.
