I grew up in North Wales and my experiences as an LGBTQ young person living in a rural area have shaped my commitment to using technology to expand specialist provision.
Prior to becoming a counsellor I undertook a number of different campaigning and public relations roles in an enormous range of policy areas including race equality, student rights, animal welfare and workers rights.

I am active in campaigning to challenge the stigma around mental health, and use my own lived experience of mental health to work with clients to help them understand their existing coping strategies.
Drawing from Person Centred and Systemic therapeutic techniques, I start with an introductory session which is an opportunity to explore working together. If we agree to work together, early sessions usually focus on goal setting and psycho-education where appropriate.
When working with people in relationships, all parties should be present at the introductory session, after which I will have individual sessions with each member of the relationship. It is only after this, we might take a collective decision on whether to proceed with relationship therapy.
I work extensively with LGBTQ clients, as well as those in consensual non-monogamous/polyamorous relationships, and clients with kink/fetish interests or lifestyles.
