Hi I'm Daniel (He/Him). I'm a counsellor who provides support for people that are struggling with feelings of depression, anxiety and grief. I work with people seeking support with difficult life decisions and challenges in their relationships. Often people attend because they are feeling 'stuck'; finding themselves arriving at the same place, despite trying really hard to change. Perhaps they are drinking, shopping or eating to cope or escape. The sex and relationships they're having has stopped feeling safe or fulfilling. They're doing things to 'feel better' while avoiding people, places or decisions due to fear or shame.

I have spent many years working in the LGBTQ+ community, particularly with gay men. However everyone is welcome at my practice - it's non judgmental and I offer a safe space. My experience includes working in sexual health clinics, outreach services and providing counselling at LGBT+ services such as London Friend and Helios.
If you would like to discuss your support needs, please feel free to contact me. I offer an initial telephone consultation, with no fee. It's an opportunity for you to ask me questions and explore what change looks like for you. Most importantly you can assess if you feel comfortable speaking with me. It's the first step and a challenging one, but worth it.

All of us are individuals and I believe that therapy should provide a truly personal and unique approach.

As an integrative therapist I utilise a number of psychotherapy models which emphasize different dimensions of the human experience.

My practice is informed by theories of attachment, neuro-science, CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy), psycho –dynamic and humanistic therapies.

These models work collaboratively to assist in understanding how our bodies work, the way in which our thoughts and behaviours impact our experiences, the influence of events from our past and the role of relationships in our lives.

Importantly they also provide different insights into the ways in which we can experience growth and improve the quality of our lives.
