I’m a therapist, coach, supervisor and trainer based in the UK and working via video, phone/VoIP, live chat/IM or email as well as faced to face/in person and blends of these.
Maybe something has happened – such as the death of a loved one, or some other event or loss. Or you have other issues or changes you want or need to make.
You are investing your time and money, so we will work to your agenda.
My aim is to provide a safe space for you to explore issues, thoughts and feelings that you may be finding it hard to talk about with other people – or, perhaps, admit to yourself.
You may find that you require only a few sessions to address what you need (for now, anyway). Or we may agree to work for longer – maybe months or years – it really depends on what you need. Initially, we’ll probably meet weekly – after that, once we’re underway, some clients find that fortnightly sessions work best for them (time-wise and financially) and I’m happy to accommodate that. Once we’ve ended, my clients know that they are welcome back – for a few more sessions or maybe just a one-off to discuss a specific issue with which they’re struggling. 'Dipping back in’ in this way can be really helpful and, because we’ve worked together before, we usually ‘hit the ground running’.
I work integratively, drawing on:

Transactional Analysis (TA)
Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP)

Solution-Focused Brief Therapy

After that, £50
10% discount when paying for a block of 6 sessions
A lot of clients come weekly - especially at the start - but I'm also open to fortnightly sessions which can help with affordability as well as allowing more time for reflection and experimentation in between our sessions.
Student rate (£40) for trainee therapists undertaking personal therapy hours towards core training or for qualified therapists whilst training to work online.

I work 1:1 with trainee therapists and coaches as well as qualified practitioners.
I also provide supervision of supervision for trainee supervisors and qualified supervisors training to work online.
You may be undertaking a student placement or further training/CPD. Perhaps you’re building up your hours/experience in a voluntary role.
You might be in a paid role within an organisation or working freelance or as an associate therapist – or newly qualified and setting yourself up in private practice.
Whichever stage you’re at, we will tailor how we work to what you need.
I’m based in the UK and work with individual adults only – so, if you’re looking for supervision of work with Children and Young People, families or couples, then I’m not the right choice. We will be different from each other, and that’s good, as it’s based on these differences that we will learn together and from each other. We will undertake regular reviews of how we’re working together but I encourage you not to wait for the next review if there is something pressing that is getting in the way of the sessions supporting you in the way that you need.

As a supervisor, my favoured supervision model is Inskipp and Proctor’s normative, formative and restorative functions/processes – because it’s so simple and encompasses all the areas that I think are important:
• Formative is about developing the skills, understanding and abilities of my supervisee.
• Normative covers my professional and ethical responsibilities to ensure the client’s welfare.
• Restorative is the space I provide to help you reflect and how you may have been affected by the distress, pain and fragmentation of your clients.
During our work these aspects will all feature – but not always to the same degree. We will tailor what we do and how we do it according to your personal needs, what your clients are bringing, the priorities of the day (eg: regarding risk and safeguarding) and the dynamics between you and your clients.
