With nearly 30 years of clinical experience, I gently assist you to work through the layers of who you are and what you need. The online process is at the your pace and is deeply therapeutic. You are free to think, feel and share as much or as little as you need. The unique relationship that you and I build together, is founded on the unwavering principle that you matter and your concerns are valid.
My interest in working therapeutically with people stems from the powerful impact that therapy had on me from the moment I sat in the client's chair and shared my thoughts with a counsellor. Becoming a therapist involves gaining a firm grounding in theory and practice, challenging one's own pre-conceptions, and developing the habit of self-reflection, self-critiquing and acting upon new insights. It takes years and becomes a way of life. I began my training in 1993 and qualified in 1997, subsequently attaining accreditation, a Masters degree, supervisor qualifications and online therapy certification. Over the following three decades, as well as seeing clients and supervisees privately, I worked with organisations such as Relate, Mind, Exeter University, Falmouth University, Truro and Penwith College and various EAP companies. I have also run communication workshops for performance artists at Dartington in Devon, co-facilitated residential workshops for support workers at Devon County Council, hosted Personal and Professional Development sessions to support couple therapists completing a BACP accredited PG Dip course in Bristol and presented a paper at a BACP Supervision Conference in London. I now work primarily in private practice as a counsellor/psychotherapist and supervisor/consultant.
I help you to access a life that makes sense to you and is governed by you. Sessions are as dynamic or quiet as you wish them to be. No judgment, no pressure. You are free to think, feel and share as much or as little as you need.
As an Integrative Psychodynamic and Systemic therapist, I gently help you work through the layers of who you are, what you need and how to go about it safely. The process is entirely at the your pace and is deeply therapeutic.
We are often our own harshest critic and it is priceless when we sense that someone acknowledges our worth without condition. The unique therapeutic relationship that you and I build together is founded on the unwavering principle that you matter, your concerns are valid and your choices are worthy of respect.
You can book a single appointment and decide for yourself if this is the right way forward for you.

Supervision is a formal and mutually agreed relationship, designed to support you through your professional development and maintenance.
It is an opportunity for us to learn from each other and together provide a valuable service for your clients, supervisees, students, patients, employees or other people in your care.
I assist trained supervisors as well as therapists of numerous models. My experience also includes supporting ACTO level 3 senior supervisors since the online supervision training began in UK. I support student therapists, training in mainly psychodynamic, systemic and person centred models. I also support student supervisors, training in various supervision models.
I have trained in the integrative Psychodynamic and Systemic models of therapy and supervision for practitioners working with individuals and couples.
My training and experience enables me to support all professionals who have a duty of care for other people.
If you are in training or new to an area of work:
My responsibility is to help you grow in confidence and develop your own style of working, with increasing awareness of the ethical and safety issues that you will face when working with clients. To this end, much of our focus will be on your own personal and professional wellbeing as a learning practitioner or professional.
If you are fully qualified and experienced:
I do not intend to teach you how to practise or do your job. I see our relationship as colleagues in different roles. My role is to assist you as you continue to serve and protect the people in your care. Supporting you to maintain your confidence and personal wellbeing is an ongoing component of the work.
