Training Organisation Members

Membership Description

The ACTO Core Curriculum has been validated and accredited with the National Open College Network, seventeen credits at Level 3 (equivalent to NVQ Level 3). The questions attached to the topics of core curriculum are compulsory and need to be embedded into any course assessment procedures.

All ACTO training organisations are required to ensure a minimum standard of training - this includes full members as well as probationers working towards full membership. This is set at a minimum qualification period of two years to include the core curriculum (a copy of the ACTO Training Standards can be found on the documents pages) and completion of case histories or clinical practice.

Students can have their core curriculum work externally and independently moderated by the Open College Network if the ACTO organisation is registered with NOCN or by one of the ACTO verifiers. Both options incur a fee to the student.

Training Courses commenced prior to acceptance of Probationary Membership of ACTO cannot be endorsed by ACTO.
