Affiliate Training Members
Membership Description
This class of Training Membership is for schools who use colour as a basis for other types of courses, like psycho-drama.
Courses commenced prior to acceptance of Probationary Membership of ACTO cannot be endorsed by ACTO.
Requirements
Affiliate Training Educational Qualifications:
The person who is insured to deliver the training programme carries the ACTO Membership vote for that training organisation.
The person responsible for the training programme should have -
a teaching qualification such as a B.Ed, PGCE, Cert. Ed., DTLLS, City & Guilds 7407/CTLLS
Or
present evidence of teaching work within the field over a minimum of 5 years
Submission
Syllabus
Prospective members will need to provide a full course syllabus and detailed CV in the first instance.
A scheme of work will need to be supplied along with lesson plans for at least six days
Interview
Unless already a member organisation of IAC, IWOC, ACHO or an NOCN Centre, prospective members will be required to attend a panel interview with ACTO.
The panel will include at least one trustee and two members (minimum of three members).
Probationary Period
Once accepted as a Affiliate Training Member, there will be a period of probation which will last for two years.
During this period there will be visits from an ACTO trustee or their representatives. At least one visit will be during a tutoring session. If possible students' work will be verified during visits.
Once accepted as an ACTO Affiliate Training Member, further short courses can be submitted for ACTO's Recommendation and Listing for a one-off fee of £35 per course e.g workshops, bridging courses or courses for Continuing Professional Development in any aspect of colour healing or colour therapy or topics where colour is a recognised part.
Membership Fees
•1. On application a non-refundable fee of £200
This will cover a full review of the course, course provision, course management, assessment criteria etc.
(Resubmissions for any reason, will incur an additional fee of £100)
•2. Panel interview - a fee of £100 (refundable in the case of non-acceptance)
•3. A course visit will incur a fee of up to £150, plus travel and subsistence
•4. Thereafter the annual ACTO Affiliate Training Membership fee will be £100
Non-UK applicants will need to either fund a visit from an ACTO member to their venue or visit the UK and attend a panel, where they will also be asked to present a micro-teach session.

that meet the ACTO Core Curriculum will only be subject to items 3 and 4.
